Arts and crafts fairs are sweeping North America and Edmonton is one of the hotspots, thanks to curators Raymond Biesinger (Royal Bison) and Jenna Herbut. She designs her own line of purses and runs Make It Productions, which organizes regular Stop & Shop fairs.
Her latest, Not Your Granny's Craft Show, runs Saturday, July 18 at the Arts Barns. Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Herbut will then screen Handmade Nation, a documentary shot by Faythe Levine about the DIY arts and crafts movement, at 7:30 p.m.
